The Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park

For the 2nd Year In a Row, The Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park has been canceled

To All Performers and Vendors:

For the second year in a row The Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon scheduled for October 3rd, 2021 has been cancelled.  The City of New York and the Parks Department will not be issuing permits for large gatherings for the foreseeable future due to the Covid-19 pandemic.  Our new date for the 2022 festival is October 2nd.

During this two-year interval, the festival office at WHIDC has been undergoing reorganization to better serve the communities of Washington Heights and Inwood.  The festival team has also put forward a plan to expand the festival, adding new sections highlighting Arabic and Hispanic cultures during the Middle Ages.

We will continue to reach out to our performers and vendors in the coming year to keep everyone informed.  We welcome any comments or suggestions for improving the festival.  Please reach out to us and let us know how you are and what you are up to during this hiatus.  For all our friends and partners, we wish you a healthy and safe 2021.  Feel free to email me at any time with questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Jahaira Guerrero

Executive Director
